Set in the early 1800’s England, two young women’s lives are changed forever in an unexpected twist of deceit and betrayal.      After chapter four each chapter starts with a letter from one cousin to the other outlining the events in their lives.  The cousins, more like sisters, love each other, so when they write their letters they don’t want to worry the other who is so far away and skim over the hardship or horrors they are going through.  But, if they could have only read what was hidden between the lines . . .
